Learn the 5 Mistakes MOST people Make when Choosing a Chiropractor

Choosing a chiropractor may be one of the best investments you can make in achieving optimal function and overall wellness in your lifetime.

When you really think about it, it truly is the best option for your health in regards to not wanting to take toxic medications or having to worry about an expensive surgery.

However, choosing the perfect chiropractor that is right for YOU and your goals can be a different story. It can be more difficult than you might have anticipated.

Check out the 5 mistakes MOST people make when choosing their chiropractor.

Upper Cervical Chiropractic Review & Testimonial

Mistake #1 - Choosing a Chiropractor with NO Reviews or Testimonials

Today, most customers and clients gravitate towards doing new business with someone in regards to positive reviews or testimonials.

Imagine you and your family are on vacation at a new location, and you all wanted to go out to eat - but didn't know where to start looking?

My bet would be that you would get out your phone and start checking local restaurants with positive feedback and recent reviews.

In summary, the byproduct of a great experience every time at a business comes great reviews and testimonials.

Choosing your chiropractor should be no different.

If your chiropractor has been in business for over 3 years, they should have a nice list of reviews or testimonials for you to look through to make an educated decision on whether this is the right chiropractor for you.

Upper Cervical Chiropractic Consultation

Mistake #2 - Choosing a Chiropractor and NOT having an Opportunity to Meet Them Before an Examination

In other words, there is no option for an initial consultation to meet 1-on-1 with their potential chiropractor before starting care.

Having an initial consultation allows YOU to get your questions answered before starting care and determine if the chiropractor is a right fit for you and your health goals.

It also allows your chiropractor to determine if you are a suitable patient for their care.

The last thing you want is to start a care program and realize it isn't what you were expecting.

In doing so, you wouldn't be wasting your time, energy, and money trying to figure out if this is the right type of care you are seeking.

Providing an initial consultation by your doctor helps sort out all of these potential issues for you as the prospective patient and the potential provider (aka your chiropractor).

Infrared Thermography and 3D CBCT Spinal Imaging

Mistake #3 - Choosing a Chiropractor that DOESN'T Utilize Neurological Assessment Technologies

We can all agree that we live in a technology, data-driven world. And it doesn't seem to be slowing down anytime soon.

Today, chiropractors have the option to utilize state-of-the-art neurological assessment technologies in their offices. This all comes down to operating cost, clinical experience, and preference in how they want to practice and serve their patients.

Here are some of the TOP neurological assessment technologies chiropractors are using today:

In my opinion, your chiropractor should be utilizing at least one of the above technologies during their initial neurological assessments or examinations.

If not, they could be missing out on some incredible and useful pieces of information that could aid in your healing journey.

Using one or more of these technologies allows your chiropractor to analyze, detect, and correct misalignments (aka subluxations) in your spine. This allows you to heal to your optimal potential through a properly functioning nervous system.

Outdated Computer

Mistake #4 - Choosing a Chiropractor with an Outdated Website or NO Social Media Presence

This is a continuation about utilizing technology from Mistake #3.

Having a high quality and reliable website for current patients and new prospects is a MUST in today's technology-driven world.

Having a social media, like Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and TikTok, presence is an added bonus for providing great content to regular patients and prospective clients.

We live in a world where everyone assumes that a high-quality business has a a high-quality website.

Patients deserve to view a clean, professional website that is easily accessible to book appointments, buy products, locate the location of an office, look up contact information, and access informative resources via their desktop or mobile devices.

When a high-quality website is missing or outdated, it can lead to a huge distrust factor for prospective patients and current clients.

In my opinion, chiropractors MUST have a highly-functioning, updated website to keep their patients and prospective clients up-to-speed about their practice, any gained clinical chiropractic experiences, and updates on serving in their communities.

Specific Upper Cervical Chiropractic Adjustment

Mistake #5 - Choosing a Chiropractor that Manipulates Your Spine vs. Adjusts Your Spine

There is a huge difference between a chiropractor or doctor who manipulates your spine vs. adjusts your spine.

Physical therapists, osteopathic doctors, massage therapists, and some chiropractors who manipulate the spine and surrounding muscles do so with the intention of restoring a restricted joint and allowing it to move in its physiological range of motion to improve spinal motion and the body's physical function.

Manipulation of Neck

Manipulation is a simple movement of a joint through its passive range of motion and focuses on relaxing tight muscles or releasing a buildup of fluid from a joint.

Chiropractors who adjust the spine do so with the intention of correcting a spinal misalignment and restoring the communication from the brain to the tissue cell in the body.

Below are neurological spinal scans utilizing infrared thermography. Click here to learn how the doctor uses and interprets infrared thermography.

An adjustment is a specific and directed force applied to the spine with the intention of correcting a spinal misalignment and restoring the communication from the brain to the tissue cells in the body.
