Our office uses the most advanced technologies in the chiropractic profession to ensure you are receiving the best quality of care to help you not only getter better, but to allow your body to heal, function, and perform to its optimal level.

You will be receiving several neurological examinations including:

  • Infrared thermography (neurological spinal exam)

  • Postural evaluation

  • Structural analysis

  • Bi-lateral weight assessment

  • Leg length analysis

  • Much more...

Step 3: Advanced 3D Spinal Imaging

At Owensboro Atlas Center, we utilize 3D x-rays of your spine to provide you with the very best care from start to finish. This state-of-the-art technology allows us to pin-point any misaligns in the upper neck and spine.

Your upper cervical doctor will also have the benefit of looking at different structures including: airway issues, TMJ dysfunctions, jaw rotations, and head tilts or imbalances.

We are the only chiropractic office in the area to offer this advanced spinal imaging.

Step 4: Schedule Your Next Visit (30 minutes)

Our office manager will then assist you in scheduling your next visit at a time that works best for you.

During your second visit, or what we like to call your Doctor's Report of Findings, you will receive a detailed explanation from all the data that was collected from your first visit examinations.

You will
receive your second neurological spinal exam and compare it to your first neurological spinal exam that was performed on your first visit.

Then, your doctor will discuss your initial program recommendations and will prepare you for your initial upper cervical chiropractic adjustment.

Lastly, you will be scheduled to receive your first upper cervical chiropractic adjustment.

Step 5: Receive Your Upper Cervical Adjustment

It's time to receive your first upper cervical adjustment!

Your doctor will explain to you how the adjustment is performed and will help position on the adjusting table.

Your specific adjustment is gentle, safe, and precise with no twisting, cracking, or popping of the neck or spine.

Once the adjustment is performed, your doctor will help you off of the table and escort you to a private resting area to help the muscles and ligaments surrounding the atlas (C1) vertebra to help "hold" your adjustment.

Step 6: Post-Resting Suite (+45 minutes)

The best part of your visit is actually our relaxing, private,  post-resting suites!

Post-resting after an upper cervical adjustment is one of the most important things your body requires so that you heal optimally.

Resting is vital in order to "hold" your upper cervical adjustment and begin the healing process.

After resting for up to an hour (future adjustments will require a minimum rest period of 30 minutes), you will be escorted back to the adjusting/scanning room and a post-adjustment spinal scan will be preformed to ensure that your spine accepted the adjustment.

Step 7: Post-Neurological Spinal Examination

After your post-rest, your doctor will perform a post-neurological spinal exam to ensure that your spine accepted the adjustment. This will confirm that your nervous system has been restored to proper functioning.

A follow-up visit will be scheduled within a week to identify if your spine is "holding" the adjustment.
