The ATLAS Method™: A Step-by-Step Approach to Restoring Neurologic Function

The ATLAS Method™ is our structured approach to evaluating how your upper neck, nervous system, and posture work together. By combining advanced technology with precision adjustments, we help restore alignment, stability, and optimal neurologic functions—so your body can heal the way it was designed to.

At Owensboro Atlas Center, we don’t chase symptoms—we identify the possible source.

Why We Built The ATLAS Method™

Many people who come to our office share the same story:

  • They’ve seen multiple providers

  • Their scans came back “normal”

  • They still struggle with chronic symptoms

  • No one has connected the dots

The problem isn't always visible on standard tests—it's often hidden in how the nervous system is functioning.

Traditional evaluations rarely analyze how the upper cervical spine affects neurologic communication.

Our goal is simple:

Identify dysfunction. Correct it precisely. Help your body heal naturally.

The ATLAS Method™

ASSESS (Neurologic Function)

We evaluate how your nervous system is functioning by focusing on the most important area of the spine—the craniocervical junction (where the skull meets the top two bones, C1 and C2).

This helps us determine whether your body is functioning efficiently or compensating.

Function first—because everything else depends on it.

TRACK (Thermal Patterns)

Using infrared thermography, we measure temperature patterns along the spine to evaluate how your nervous system is functioning and adapting.

These patterns help us identify areas of neurologic stress and imbalance that may be affecting your overall health.

Patterns reveal how your body is truly functioning.

LOCATE (Atlas Misalignment)

Once patterns are identified, we determine whether the atlas (C1) is out of alignment and disrupting normal brain-body communication.

This step allows us to identify if a precise adjustment is needed to restore proper alignment and neurologic function.

If it’s out of alignment, we know exactly what needs to be corrected.

CBCT 3D imaging of the upper cervical spine showing atlas alignment and structural asymmetry

ANALYZE (3D Imaging)

Using advanced 3D CBCT imaging, we take precise measurements of your alignment to fully understand how the upper neck is affecting brain-body communication.

This step removes guesswork and ensures a truly personalized and accurate approach.

Precision removes guesswork—and drives results.

SPECIFIC (Atlas Adjustment)

If misalignment is found, we deliver a gentle, precise adjustment—without twisting, cracking, or popping—to help restore proper alignment and neurologic function.

The goal is not temporary relief, but long-term stability and optimal function.

Specific care creates lasting change.

How The ATLAS Method™ Is Different

Many patients who come to OAC have already tried:

  • Medication-focused care

  • Physical therapy

  • Traditional chiropractic

  • Specialist visits

These approaches can be helpful, but they often DO NOT integrate structural imaging, neurologic testing, and individualized correction into one unified system.

The Atlas Method™ was designed to solve this problem.

At OAC, everything we do is designed around:

PrecisionPersonalization. Measurable outcomes.
